On January 25 and 26, 2022, I paid a visit to my eldest brother's floating fish farm at Tanah Merah, Sulu Sea. I chose to spend the night at the floating fish farm in order to get better soundscapes at nightfall and in the morning.

The floating fish farm is made by building enclosures using floating nets connected by wooden pathways and platforms. On the floating farm, houses and cottages are built to offer housing for their fishermen.

The fish in the floating farm must be treated with extreme care by the fishermen. To put it another way, caring for the fish takes 365 days of hard work. There are also other issues to consider, such as water quality and meteorological conditions, which can have a significant impact on the fish. And, to keep the fish from being stolen, dogs must be kept on the farm.
